Shay
Jones is the owner and manager of Musical Chair.
He has produced
thousands of events, including music festivals, major
and minor
concerts, private parties, weddings, sporting events,,
witch trials,
panty raids and snipe hunts. His knowledge of equipment
and venues is
unmatched in Austin, and nobody in the industry has
the kind of
experience with putting on events that Mr. Jones
does.
He was born in College Station, TX, and while
he did not attend Texas
A&M, he inhabits that magical place that allows
him to root for both UT
and TAMU with equal enthusiasm. He even supported
the Cowboys and the
Oilers when they both existed. He's just that kind
of guy: a lover, not
a fighter. In fact, he's an ordained minister,
and can be persuaded to
preside over weddings for a fee. Also, if you tell
the warden you're a
member of the Universal Life Church of Modesto,
California, he can
visit you on death row. He's not terribly versed
in scripture, but he
knows the difference between right and wrong. Who
could ask for more?
Shay is pictured with his young son Carson (or
Schwing, although some
people may not appreciate giving Carson a pseudonym),
who plans to be
the first ambidextrous rollout quarterback/relief
pitcher in
professional sports history. Someone's got to break
open that job
market, and it might as well be a Jones boy. It
is not yet known if he
will be an Aggie or a Longhorn, although there
is always the
possibility he will choose to be a Golden Gopher,
Terrapin or Duck.
Just as long as he's not a Cavalier - there's something
a little
off-putting about that hat. |
